A guide to what we offer

Here at Alexander Care Home, we offer a range of care options for you and your family including:

Residential care
Dementia care
Respite care

Residential care

As a Care Home, the focus of our work is to provide the staff and environment to help residents to live as independently as possible. We provide support with personal care, such as washing, dressing, taking medication, eating and help going to the toilet, as needed. We always discuss changing care needs and support with you at every stage.

Dementia care

Our care team is trained to provide dementia care to make our residents feel safe and comfortable. We work with local healthcare and elder care professionals in south Leeds to ensure that you have the support and care that you need.

Respite care

If we have a room available, Alexander Care Home is happy to welcome you to stay with us on respite care. Our minimum respite stay is two weeks as we’re keen to get to know you and ensure that your stay with us is as happy and as comfortable as possible.

Personalised Care with Kindness is Key

From the first enquiry onward, our goal is to get to know you. When you move in, we will put your personalised care plan together, liaising with your GP and any other healthcare professionals. We’d also like to explore your interests and hobbies and the food, drinks and snacks you like. And we’ll introduce you to your Key Worker, who will get to know you, introduce you to other residents and help you to settle in.

Super people. Just one of the reasons why we’re different

“Alexander provides a warm, safe and caring environment for Mum to live out her best life. The staff are absolutely wonderful, gentle and caring, taking time to interact with all their guests at every opportunity.

There is also a regular daily schedule of activities and entertainment, which keeps the mind active. In short, nothing is ever too much trouble”.

“My Mum moved into Alexander Care Home in September 2023, as soon as she saw her gorgeous room a huge smile lit up her face and it hasn’t left since. She is so happy here, she loves the home made food and we are less worried about her falling than when she was at home, due to all the steps the staff have put in place. All the staff are amazing and can’t do enough for the residents, my Mum takes part in the daily activities and loves getting involved. You’re always kept updated with any changes affecting your relatives with plans made together for their future. Definitely the best decision we have made as a family, to move Mum from her house living alone”.
