From your first contact with us to moving in, from your first meal with us to getting involved in our programme of activities, we hope that living at Alexander Care Home will exceed your hopes and expectations.

Warm welcome

When we first receive your enquiry about moving in, we will be in touch promptly and then spend time finding out about you and your care needs. You and your family are welcome to visit, perhaps even staying for a meal or an activity, and we take special care when new residents first move in.

Health and wellbeing

From home-cooked food and drink to regular personal care and healthcare connections, we aim to support you in a healthy lifestyle. Many of our activities encourage fitness and mobility and our skilled kitchen team provide lots of variety and great quality.

There are lots of ways to find out more and we hope that you will visit us so that you can see for yourself.

Communal spaces

We have three comfortable lounges, that a light and bright conservatory and a large open dining room. We also have a quiet study and we’ve created“Coffee Corner” on the first floor so that residents and their visitors can make a brew.

From the Edwardian elegance of the panelled entrance lounge to the new Coffee Corner, we aim to provide a choice of comfortable and homely spaces to share.

Bedrooms

Alexander Care Home has 49 bedrooms, 42 of them with either en suite WC or en suite WC and wet room, and they’re regularly decorated to keep them smart. Residents’ own possessions and pictures are combined with our furnishings to create a homely feel.

Gardens

Many of our residents appreciate the gardens that surround Alexander Care Home and we work hard to maintain them so that they can be enjoyed in all seasons. Social activities, residents’ gardening sessions and summer barbecues all take place outdoors and residents are welcome to enjoy time with their family and friends in our gardens too.
